Hamza, who was suffering from minor discomfort before the match, was unable to participate in training. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical staff will now supervise his recovery in Karachi.
During Tuesday’s training for Pakistan, the left-arm pacer was seen completing rehabilitation activities.
Under the supervision of physiotherapist Cliff Deacon, Hamza replaced strengthening his buttocks with bowling, using resistance bands for exercises such as clam shells and buttock bridges.
Hamza is expected to need approximately three weeks to fully recover, according to PCB insiders, raising concerns about his availability for Pakistan’s upcoming white-ball trip to Australia.
This November, the Men in Green will travel to Australia for a three-match ODI and T20I series.
On October 29, the Pakistani team will leave for Melbourne, where they will train on November 1 and 2 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Before the first live international match on 4 November, there will be an optional training session on 3 November.
