Maureen Esisi denies rumors about lesbianism and bisexuality Uptrends

Maureen Esisi, known as the former wife of popular Nollywood actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu, has openly addressed and firmly denied the persistent rumors about her sexuality. The controversy first erupted after Esisi posted a video last month showing her sharing a friendly kiss with another woman at a club, which quickly sparked a wave of speculation on social media.

Responding to the buzz fueled by a popular gossip blogger, Esisi took to Instagram to clarify her stance, stating unequivocally: “I am not a lesbian and not even bisexual.” She expressed her disappointment at the rumors and demanded for anyone to provide evidence to support these claims, which they claim simply do not exist.

The 37-year-old entrepreneur didn’t stop there. She also addressed unfounded rumors that she may have contracted sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) through alleged anal sex. She called these allegations “absurd” and “baseless,” stressing that such claims have no basis in reality.

“I’m only attracted to men,” Esisi stated clearly, dispelling any notion that she might be bisexual. She further dismissed the rumors as little more than a “Nollywood story,” comparing the gossip to the sensational storylines often seen in Nigerian films.

Esisi further elaborated on the story circulating and humorously urged anyone who might have evidence of her supposed “secret” life to come forward. “Now I’m a lesbian, two women are fighting over me and the men around me are just cover-ups? And that I am a “well-known plate licker”? I would really like to see the video. If anyone has a video of me lying in bed completely naked with a woman, please post it online. I want to see something.”

Esisi also took a moment to clarify the STD rumors, sarcastically noting that one usually has to engage in sexual activity to contract an STD. “I have been regularly treated for sexually transmitted diseases? Last time I checked, don’t you actually have to have sex with someone to get a “sexually” transmitted disease? Isn’t that why it’s called that in the first place?”

In her comments, she reiterated her respect for others’ personal preferences and identities, emphasizing, “I’m not a lesbian, I’m not even bisexual and I have no problems with people who are.”
