Ikechi Ojore offers live entertainment at its reception with Emem Obot. Allen Slovick is extremely happy with all of his wife Madison Myers’ assets. And Juan Franco gives a squeaky freestyle performance for new wife Karla. It’s time to unpack it all in this recap of Season 18, Episode 3 Have you all met my husband.
Married at First Sight: Michelle Tomblin Breaks Down Over David’s Living Situation
On Married at first sight, Michelle Tomblin was all smiles down the aisle as she said “yes” to her match David. But his mood changed soon after when he made a cringing confession. Over champagne, he let slip that he enjoys a social cigarette from time to time. Michelle doesn’t hesitate to tell him that she finds it disgusting. He suggests that he won’t let this get in the way of the marriage and that he will try to wind it down and then call it quits altogether.
But it’s the next confession that really pushes her over the edge. He admits that he still lives with his parents. And this comes after his family called him a ‘mama’s boy’. Michelle Tomblin is visibly shaken after hearing this. David doesn’t seem worried. Instead, he compliments her blonde hair, blue eyes, and beauty. As they dance at the reception, she tells him that her first impression of him was that he looked like a genius. But apparently not the one who got his wishes.
Later when receiving the Married at first sight, Michelle Tomblin takes refuge with her friends in the ladies’ room. She tells them that she is depressed. And it’s living at home with her parents that upsets her. She’s obsessed with it. They suggest she give it time and hold off on judgment until she knows more about the situation. And give him props for having strong family ties that could explain the situation in a different light. Michelle Tomblin admits to David that she is overwhelmed. And they share the hotel room later.
MAFS Couples Party at Wedding Receptions
To complete this after-wedding Married at first sight episode, the couples pose for photos, drink, dance and meet friends and family. For some, it’s just a nice little chat. For others it borders a bit on interrogation with a healthy side of judgment. Camille Parson’s friends are a little surprised when her husband Thomas McDonald admits he was unfaithful in a long-term relationship.
Madison Myers tells Allen’s friends that she is impressed by his chivalry. She admits that physical attraction is important but is made up of different things. She suggests that she hasn’t always been beautiful. And that people think she’s “pretentious.” Ikechi Ojore takes things to another level by calling on his favorite musicians to serenade Emem Obot. Karla continues her seductive unicorn vibe where money doesn’t matter, and she can get through any situation by simply manifesting it in the clouds. Juan admits that he is a little more organized and routine.
Married at First Sight: Couples Prepare for Their First Night
It’s time for our MAFS the couples go to their respective hotel rooms. And the obligatory scene of each groom helping the bride take off her dress. Couples sip champagne and discuss questions like: who sleeps naked. And if hugs are allowed. Juan Franco pulls out a guitar and attempts a cheesy ode to Karla, who passes out and admits that she usually sleeps naked. And tells Juan that he is also free to sleep without hindrance.
Michelle still feels a little overwhelmed Married at first sight. David lets her hair down (literally) and she agrees to him sharing the bed that first night. Madison Myers is a little tipsy. And Allen Slovick can’t wait for production to stop. Although it seems like most couples opted for a night’s sleep over anything else. See you next time!
