Lahore Smart City and Guard Group/Zaki Farms advance to the polo semi-finals Up trends

Lahore: Lahore Smart City Group and Guard Group/Zaki Farms qualified for the semi-finals of the Lahore Smart City Polo Championship in the Pink Tournament held at Lahore Polo Club on Thursday.

A large number of fans, including women, children, players and club officials, were present to watch and enjoy the exciting matches. In the first match, Smart City Lahore defeated the first division team by a score of 11-5½. For Smart City Lahore, Agha Musa Ali Khan scored four goals, Bilal Hai scored three goals, and Farooq Amin Sufi and Sally Cactus scored two goals each. For one score, with an additional one-and-a-half goal handicap advantage, Paula Garibay and Adil Rao each scored twice.

The second match of the day saw FG/Din Polo defeat SQ Seagold 9-4 to qualify for the semi-finals. Raja Mikael Sami scored five goals, Mian Abbas Mukhtar and Rafiq Sheikh scored two goals each for FG/Din Polo. For SQ Siegold, Charlotte Sweeney scored two goals, while Taimur Moaz and Chaudhry Hayat each scored one goal.

In the third match, Diamond Paints defeated Black Horse Paints with a score of 8-1½. Raja Jalal Arslan and Mir Huzaifa Ahmed scored three goals each, while Mir Shoaib Ahmed and Natasha scored one goal each for Diamond Paints. Black Horse Paints’ only goal was scored by Chloe Victoria.

The fourth and final match of the day was won by Guard Group/Zacky Farms, who defeated Platinum Homes by a narrow margin of 6.5½ to advance to the semi-finals. Taimur Ali Malik scored three goals, Shah Kublai Alam scored two goals, and Ahmed Bilal Riaz scored one goal for Guard Group/Zaki Farms. For Platinum Homes, Lt. Col. Omar Minhas scored two goals, while Bilal Noun and Emilia scored one goal each.

On Friday (October 25, 2024), the semi-final matches will be held along with two other matches at the Lahore Polo Club Stadium.
