Whether he’s shaking his head demanding his partner “go back to the club” or plunging a lightsaber into his father’s stomach, Driver is known for bringing a high level of intensity and captivating presence to the screen to his films. 2023 Ferraricurrently streaming on Hulu, is one such film showcasing Driver’s talents, as the actor completely transforms into real-life entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari.
What is Ferrari?
For those who don’t know Ferrarithe film serves as a biopic about the professional and personal struggles of the eponymous Italian automaker. The film begins in 1957, as Enzo prepares to embark on a 1,000-mile road race despite multiple ongoing crises in his personal life. As he leaves, his wife is seen mourning the death of their only son, while his mistress prepares Enzo’s illegitimate child for his upcoming confirmation in the Catholic Church.
As the narrative progresses, we learn that things aren’t going much better in Enzo’s professional life, as his car manufacturing company is losing money, forcing him to make a deal with his competitors . Facing financial ruin, Ferrari must give his wife a check for $500,000 to secure his shares in the company, as she discovers the truth about his affairs.
At the moment when the Ferrari As the film draws to a close, Enzo finds himself at the center of a major scandal with the press, a major problem in the line of succession, and a rift between the two women he claims to love.
Mixed reviews
Ferrari received mixed reviews from professional film critics upon release, with many praising Adam Driver’s performance over all other elements of the film. Today, the film boasts a solid 73 percent critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, with an overall audience score of 74 percent.
Personally, I found this film quite entertaining and fascinating, but I can see that it is not for everyone. If you have a personal interest in cars, racing, or the history of the automotive industry, you will enjoy Ferraribecause the film offers a real deep dive into the luxury brand Ferrari.

Even though the film benefited from good promotion, Ferrari failed to replenish its budget at the box office, making it a certifiable bomb.
