Pakistani snooker players Asad Iqbal and Owais Munir have qualified for the knockout stages of the IBSF World 6 Red Snooker Championship 2024, being held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Asaad earned a direct berth in the quarter-finals after an impressive performance in the group stage where they remained unbeaten. His victories included a dominant 4-1 victory over India’s Bandurangaya and a thrilling 4-3 victory over Iraq’s Ali Al-Jalil.
Uwais Mounir also excelled by reaching the round of twentieth after his great 4-1 victory over Singaporean Jia Jun Ong. However, he faced a tough challenge in his second match of the day, losing narrowly 4-3 to Israeli Shachar Roberge despite taking an early lead. Both players are now gearing up for their next matches in the knockout stage in their quest to bring more glory to Pakistan.
